What to do when a Mimic Voice host disconnects

Mimic Voice: Follow the room’s server-confirmed host and match state when the original host loses connection.

Read the current lobby state

The person who created the room can lose connection like any other player. Watch the room’s connection message and host indicator rather than assuming the first host still controls it. The server determines room membership and host changes; another player cannot become host merely by editing a nickname.

Wait for the room to resolve

Keep a working internet connection and let the room update. A host change and a room closure are different outcomes. If another player is shown as host, coordinate with that person. If the room is closed or the match has ended, the group needs a new invitation.

Avoid conflicting restarts

Do not have everyone create replacement rooms at once. Choose one host, share one new code if needed, then confirm all players and sounds are ready. Tell support whether the disconnect occurred in the lobby or during a round. Do not promise friends that an interrupted recording will automatically resume.
